One of the first steps in the creation of any large scale work is to do a color field drawing or painting. Many times I do drawings in color or black and white to get the feel of the image that I'm working with. In this case we used a painted canvas as the backround color and imposed the black and white drawing over it. I don't always have the option of having photo of the space but as you can see this is a great way to really get a feel of what a mural will look like in a location. |
